STUCK @ SCHOOL - As the school year resumes, I am back to spending some time in our local schools as a once-a-week substitute teacher. I noticed a small poster in a math classroom that gave some options to a common problem in school- “What to do when I’m STUCK.” Some options suggested were: asking a teacher, other teacher, or friend. Other options when stuck is to look at your notes or search online. I found it interesting that most of the solutions for feeling stuck were found in reaching out to another person. Coaching is a great way to reach beyond your experience to explore pathways out of feeling stuck. Coaching conversations are centered on clients discovering new possibilities, tapping into inner-resources, and developing relevant action that moves them from where they are to where they want to be. Getting beyond stuck is an exciting adventure for both client and coach. In what areas do you feel stuck?
